BASE24 Sunset Survey
Survey Results
An EBUG survey of members' views on ACI's plans for the 'sunsetting' of BASE24 and the migration to BASE24-eps
was carried out over several months around the end of 2008 and early 2009. The results were presented to the Customer-Only session at the Annual Conference
in Prague. A similar survey was conducted by our Americas counterpart user group ACE and presented at the ACE conference in Washington 31 May to 3 June. The results of the EBUG survey can now be reviewed here. A password is required and access is restricted to EBUG members only.
If you have not been notified of the password, please contact
EBUG.
ACI will provide a formal response to both surveys around the end of July. |

BASE24 Lifecycle Webcast
Webcast on Tuesday 23 June Great Success
![]() |
One of the many thought-provoking presentations at the Annual EBUG Conference in Prague was 'How to Reinvent your BASE24
Lifecycle and Save Millions' by Jim Tomaney of Barclays Bank. On Tuesday 23 June, HP kindly hosted a webcast for the benefit of those EBUG
members who missed out the first time around.
The webcast was very well-attended with up to 69 people from around the globe logged in to HP Virtual Rooms and
many others listening on the call and following the downloaded slides. We appreciate that some organisations' security policies relating to ActiveX controls
prevented everyone from accessing the webcast online but are sure that it proved very worthwhile for those who managed to join in by whichever method.
So thanks to HP for running this event for us and, especially, many thanks to Jim Tomaney for giving up his time and putting
a lot of effort into sharing his experiences with his EBUG colleagues. It is a difficult task to give a presentation without being able to see your
audience or receive the normal feedback so well done!

Prague 2009
'Transforming for the Future'
Thanks to all of those who joined us for the 2009 EBUG Conference in Prague from 5-8 May at the Corinthia Towers Hotel.
It was a really successful event, despite the difficulties so many experienced in getting authorisation to attend in these budget-conscious times.
The presentations are now available to delegates at the conference, password-protected. The password has been emailed
to all attendees. If you were in Prague but have not been notified of the password, please contact EBUG. If you want to check out what you missed - or remind yourself of what you saw - you can view the
Conference Agenda here. For further information about the conference, please email
EBUG.
Thanks especially to all of the sponsors who helped us to create another great EBUG event! These were: ACI, IBM, HP, comForte, XYPRO, Ascert, GoldenGate,
CSP Security, Insider Technologies, NCR, Lexcel, Level Four, Prognosis, Phoenix and Logica. Why not check out their products and services via the links on the Prague Event page? Just click
on the 'Transforming for the Future' logo.
